ABOUT US
Alana Tones was inspired to create and launch Pony Equine by her significant background within the equine industry and a desire for quality, functional and cleverly designed equine products.
From her earliest days at age 4 showing pony hacks & western pleasure horses, Alana then transitioned into the world of cutting horses at 16. Alana showed as a Non-Professional, loped and worked for many professional trainers such as Roger Wagner, Russ Benson & Todd Graham before making the move to the USA to work as the assistant trainer for John Mitchell at Slate River Ranch for four years.
Alana has studied Animal Husbandry at Emerald Agricultural College and has also completed her degree in Veterinary Nursing. She also spent significant time in the USA at Weatherford Equine Vet Centre, further expanding her knowledge and experience in the maintenance, care & rehabilitation of cutting horses and other elite equine athletes.
In 2010 Alana moved back home to Australia to professionally train horses alongside her husband Casey Tones at Woodside Cutting Horses in Kilcoy Qld. Aside from their successful horse training business, Casey and Alana also own and operate several businesses including freight, cattle and Pony Equine.
Pony Equine products are designed and tested with quality and performance in mind.
